Job description
Justamere Café Limited is seeking a full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily restaurant operations. This position assists the Restaurant Manager in supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth front- and back-of-house coordination.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and coordinating restaurant staff
- Support staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost monitoring
- Help ensure food quality, service standards, and customer satisfaction
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Assist in implementing health, safety, and workplace policies
- Support opening and closing procedures and daily operations
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school required; post-secondary training in hospitality is an asset
- Previous supervisory or restaurant management experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job description
Justamere Café Limited is seeking a full-time Cook to join our kitchen team in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to recipes and customer orders
- Set up and oversee food stations during service
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control standards are met
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
- Monitor inventory and assist with food storage and rotation
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Assist with kitchen prep and closing duties as required
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is an asset
- Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
