Job description

Justamere Café Limited is seeking a full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily restaurant operations. This position assists the Restaurant Manager in supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth front- and back-of-house coordination.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating restaurant staff
  • Support staff scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost monitoring
  • Help ensure food quality, service standards, and customer satisfaction
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
  • Assist in implementing health, safety, and workplace policies
  • Support opening and closing procedures and daily operations

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school required; post-secondary training in hospitality is an asset
  • Previous supervisory or restaurant management experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job description

Justamere Café Limited is seeking a full-time Cook to join our kitchen team in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to recipes and customer orders
  • Set up and oversee food stations during service
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control standards are met
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Monitor inventory and assist with food storage and rotation
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Assist with kitchen prep and closing duties as required

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school is an asset
  • Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
